Vi hadde et brainstorming møte i forrige uke for å komme godt i gang med idéer og story til filmen. Jeg har nå fått første utkast av informasjonen de øsnker å ha med i filmen:

Silly Walks

This is the contracting department at the Department of Silly Walks.  They have several challenges despite being staffed by competent and dedicated people.

They create the contracts; sometimes they are responsible after award, sometimes not.  But either way, keeping track of all the dates, renewals and other conditions is cumbersome, work intensive and sometimes just impossible.

They have also been told to reduce staff, but their resources are stretched to the breaking point already.

Furthermore, the Department they work in is complaining about lack of insight into contract management, or they are oblivious to contract work, resulting in overspend on contracts.

And last, but not least, all of these factors have one thing in common; They increase the cost of buying goods and services.

Now the Department of Silly Walks is implementing Omnicom Government.  The first thing they will experience is greatly increased control.

No more missed dates, no more lapsed contracts or lapsed guarantees just because nobody knew it was happening!  Automatic emails go out to all relevant parties informing them that of significant dates such as a contract is coming up for auto-renewal, giving them a chance to re-negotiate the contract to reflect the ever changing environment they work in.  Or a bank guarantee is expiring in 30 days; time to make sure a new bank guarantee is obtained.

Furthermore, all their contracts will now be coming out of the same legally approved document base.  No more private caches of contract templates of unknown quality, no more “does anyone have an IT license model?” questions.

Any external review by the National Audit Office or anyone else will now be welcomed with open arms, knowing full well that their commercial process is safe and sound.

The process of compiling and producing the documents will be reduced by up to 80%, freeing up significant resources in the contract creation.  This will help them reallocate manpower to more commercially efficient work rather than having highly skilled staff acting as secretaries.

With all these improvements in place for the inner workings of the contracting department, they can now follow up on post-award contracts, ensure complete compliance on contracts through to cancellation, monitor the lifetime cost and spend on contracts, review contract and contractor performance for future improvement of services and help reduce the out-of-contract spend significantly.  All in all, the Department of Silly Walks is aiming to achieve a 12,5% savings on their third party spend in the first 2 years of operation, with the same percentage save annually thereafter.

Det jeg selv synes teksten mangler er å virkelig poengtere at det er OmniCom som fikser alt slik at det blir lettere og bedre. Har gitt tilbakemendling om at navnet bør nevnes en del flere ganger i reklamefilmen.
